Creature Interactive’s first iPhone game, Creepy Caverns, is a unique jumping platformer that sports cute graphics and lots of gold. When you first start the game it opens with a nice clean menu screen from where you start your game. As you progress through the game you unlock different environments that you get to explore.
Creepy Caverns Pros:
- Cute Graphics
- Fun, Easy to learn gameplay
- 5 Different Environments
Creepy Caverns Cons:
- Stages within worlds look awful similar
- Easily Triggered Menu
- Shallow storyline

The goal of the game is to make it to the Egyptian god hidden in a maze of walls, trampolines, and spikes. One of our favorite aspects of the game was the cute graphics, from the old grandpa to the super-bouncy trampolines Creature Interactive obviously tried to engage the player with the cartoon graphics.

The game really meets its goal of becoming a addictive adventure jumper. Although every once in a while it feels like doodle jump, Creepy Caverns is really its own genre of jumping game. Another neat aspect of the game is that although the basics of the game stay the same from environment to environment, the background and elements of the game change providing little surprises after every five levels.

One problem we found with the game is that, while Grandpa is trying to get money to retire, there is really no story line throughout the game. The retro arcade soundtrack is fun and upbeat; a terrific addition in the latest update! There are also sound effects for jumping and dying. Another small item in need of a fix is the easily triggered menu. To invoke the menu, you merely touch the screen. This makes it a little too easy to accidentally go to the menu.

All in all, we found the Creepy Caverns a steal at $.99 and give it a 4-Dimple rating. If you’re a fan of jumping survival titles, this is one that should keep you entertailed for hours.
