Angry Birds, Clickgamer’s bird-flinging, pig-destroying, crush-the-castle style game, has just received a significant update, bringing with it two news worlds with 21 levels each, bringing the total number of game levels into the triple digits. The new levels are even more complex than the previous, requiring precise shots and multiple levels of destruction to pass the levels. The new levels are locked until you finish the previous 63 levels from the launch version.

Also included in the update is integration with Chillingo’s Crystal, which is similar to OpenFeint. Crystal maintains global leaderboards and brings with it an achievement system that improves the replay value of the game. To celebrate the release of the update, Angry Birds is on sale for a limited time, available for $0.99. That’s less than a penny per level. Angry Birds initially received 4-Dimples when it was first reviewed, and it continues to impress us at that level. With some minor control tweaks (allowing players to choose the order of the launched birds, using a scheme that doesn’t cause your finger to block the birds, an optional aiming line), Angry Birds could achieve our highest score.
