vipValet Delivers Service With a Smile

0042vipValet, a recent release to the app store from Roy El-Rayes, puts you on the edge of the driver’s seat in a thrill ride set… in a parking lot. Keep the flow of traffic going and ensure that the customers get their vehicles in a timely fashion or your tips will suffer. Get reckless with the cars and it’ll be game over before you know it.

vipValet is a time management game in a style similar to Flight Control. Cars continually pull into your parking lot. Trace a line from the first waiting car to an empty parking spot to park the vehicle. The patrons will exit the vehicle and walk off-screen. Continue parking cars as they arrive. Soon, patrons will return to the lot for their cars. Tap the people and their car will flash. Trace a path from their car to the group to deliver the vehicle. The faster you are, the better the tip you’ll receive. Move quickly to keep a good balance of cars parked and cars delivered to their owners. Watch where you’re going, though. If you crash, you’re done.

0081The game offers a mood bar to gauge the satisfaction levels of the patrons. Keep it in the green by being quick and effective. Take too long and the bar creeps toward red. Spend too much time in the red and you’re through, too. (It would be nice if there was some sort of indicator on each group of waiting patrons to indicate their mood or how long they’ve been waiting so that you could easily determine who to deliver to first. At this time, there is nothing, though Roy El-Rayes appears committed to updates based on user feedback.) Your total tip amount will post to a local leaderboard. You also have the option to post to a global leaderboard and compare your skills to other players.

0072Graphics are clean and simple. Cars are a bit tiny, but it does allow you to fit many cars in the lot at once. There is a catchy little soundtrack that helps to keep you moving. Gameplay is highly addictive, with tons of replay value as you will keep coming back to best your own score and attempt to top the leaderboards. At the moment, we are in the top 100, albeit in the 80’s, but still… Controls are strictly touch and consist only of drawing paths all over the lot. Most of these lines look like a kindergartener drew them, due to the very sensitive controls employed by vipValet. It adds a level of amusement, if you ask us.

0061The game is a lot of fun and it clearly requires you to develop an effective strategy if you want to challenge any of the top scores. We found that filling up the row closest to where the patrons pick up their cars was pretty effective. If you possess patience, stamina, and a love of TM games, vipValet is definitely worth the 99 cents. A lite version is available if you want to try before you buy. vipValet delivers with a solid 5-Dimple rating.
