Let you fingers to the walking!

Never has that phrase been truer than with the new iPhone game Steppin. Developed by ustwo and released into the iTunes App Store on February 25th, 2009, Steppin will certainly give your digits a workout.

At the time of this review, Steppin offers 5 different levels that you want to complete as fast as your little fingers will take you. The levels include Pond, Ice, Lava, Hopscotch, and Climbin (AppSmile Team favorite).

In each level you are challenged to walk through treacherous environments and make it to the other side safe, without touching off the path. For example, in Lava you need to carefully walk across rocks floating in a lava stream. The faster you get across, the better your score. Don’t touch the lava or you will accrue time penalties!

One thing that really stands out about Steppin is the level of user interface quality. The menus are well designed and the graphics in each level look realistic and top notch. Another thing that got our attention is the amount of connectivity to the world-wide-web. Sure, you can compare your best scores to others playing the game. Steppin presents the following categories: My Best Times, Best Players Ever, Best Players of the Week, and Best Players Today. And you can view these stats for each of the 5 levels. Nice touch ustwo.

• More levels to race through
• Rotating sound effects if you touch off path
• Environment reactions if you step off path (maybe ripples in Pond, smoke in Lava, etc)
• Music in each level for additional motivation
