UFO Battle was released into the iTunes App Store on October 06,2008 by The Web Specialist, LLC. Our AppSmile Team found this game to be extremely simple but fun in short spurts.
The game play is between 2 players who battle between 4 UFOs. The view angle is top-down only and both players alternate turns moving until they are within shooting distance of their opponent. Once in position, each player must wait one turn before they can fire shots. That means they put themselves harm’s way while they wait for their next turn. This adds some intensity to the game.
UFO Battle provides no soundtrack but this is not so much a negative because the game allows you to listen to your iTunes library in the background -- a nice touch by The Web Specialists. There are sound effects provided in the game which add some depth and are appealing. The graphics, though simple, are high quality.
Overall, UFO Battle is a very straightforward game that reminds us of checkers or tic-tac-toe because of its take-your-turn-and-wait game style.
