This is the AppSmile review of Strings! for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

The iTunes App Store saw the release of Strings! on November 21, 2008. This application was developed by ManyFriends.com

Strings! is marketed as a relaxation app. It animates lines on the iPhone screen creating design patterns before the eyes of the viewer.

Many options are available to customize the patterns such as number of strings (lines), speed, length, thickness, and hue. The user can also choose from set patterns (Surprise, Calm, Fire, Midnight, Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall).

Our AppSmile Team got bored with this app rather quickly. It does offer a cool idea though. Because the iTunes can be played in the background, Strings! slightly resembles the desktop iTunes Visualizer. Unfortunately, Strings! doesn’t sync to the music being played.

If you can nab Strings! for free, you might like to play around with it for a few minutes. Otherwise, we do not recommend you pay for this selection.
