Omer Shoor has developed a truly spectacular photo editing app for the iPhone and iPod Touch called Photogene.
If you have an iPhone and you take a lot of pictures, you will love this app.
What does it do, you ask? Suppose you want to take a landscape shot with your iPhone camera and then rotate it so it’s not sideways when you hold your phone upright. Photogene can rotate it for you.

Suppose you want to change the color hue and saturation of a photo without transferring it to your computer. Photogene can do that.

Suppose you want to add a text baloon to a photo and make all your friends fall down laughing. Photogene can…you get the drift.

With Photogene you can crop,rotate,color change,add borders to, and save your photos.

We also like that Photogene will save your current session in case you get a phone call while you’re in the middle of editing.

Another great feature is that Photogene provides multiple undos. Some desktop software packages don’t even do that!

We would like to see the ability to email photos directly from Photogene and it would be nice to have some face-distortion tools.

Now, if you’re expecting full Photoshop features in Photogene, you’d better wake up now. But if you want a quick editing tool to apply some pretty fun and powerful effects to you’re photos, then give Photogene a spin.
